BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Jay’s experience is in educational assessment at the national, state, and postsecondary levels and teaching experience in elementary, middle, and high school, preparing students to pass standardized tests. This all contributed to her expertise in creating a strategy to decode the patterns in SAT tests.
Dr. Jay conducted her dissertation research through the Institute for Research on Teaching, where she was recognized as a national expert in diagnosing reading disabilities based on patterns in student performance on standardized tests. She was appointed to a post-doctorate position at the National Institute of Education and later served as a consultant to the National Education Goals Panel, which developed the first national assessment standards in K-12 education. At the post-secondary level, Dr. Jay taught at Michigan State University, the University of Delaware, and George Washington University.
